Anti-Virus,
Anti-Spyware, Anti-Adware
Once connected to the Internet your PC is
vulnerable to an ever increasing and variety of attacks. No
PC should be without adequate protection against the most prevalent and
pernicious forms of attack, that of viruses, spyware and
adware. Just one computer virus could completely destroy all
your files and data on your PC, and there are thousands of computer
viruses in existence with the number growing daily. Your data
(personal files, family photos, accounts etc.) is the most valuable
part of your computer system and should be protected. These days,
having and anti-virus and anti-spyware program installed on your PC it
not an option it’s a necessity!
With this service CTU will install, configure and test an anti-virus
product on your computer. Following an update to the
Anti-virus database, a full virus scan will be run and any
viruses found will be removed. You will then be shown how to use the
Anti-virus program and keep it working to protect your PC.
If your PC has been connected to the Internet without any spyware or
adware protection there's a good chance that your computer is already
infected. Statistics show that over 90% of home and business
computers have some kind of spyware or adware infection!
These rogue programs are frequently installed on your computer without
your permission or knowledge. Simply by visiting a
compromised website your computer can become infected.
Adware is usually just annoying pop-ups of advertisements for
various Internet related services but at its worst it can be extremely
upsetting and objectionable. Spyware can be used to trace your use of
you computer even to the point of logging usernames and
passwords. Some spyware can be used to make your PC an
unwitting server of “spam”. CTU can advise
and isntall a recommended anti-spyware/anti-adware product to keep your
PC free from such worrying intrusions.
If you haven’t got any of these systems installed on your
computer you should give CTU a call as soon as possible.
